Live lookups

Every NIC, company and handle your team checks, answered the moment they ask.

Private by default

Personal data stays blurred on screen. One click reveals a field for ten seconds.

Three steps from a name to the full picture, and the first one is a search.

01Search once

An NIC, a company name or registration number, an @handle, or a FORM 15 PDF. One box takes all of them.

Quick report prints the page as you see it. Full report screens every unchecked NIC first, then files it as a dated PDF.

Reports

One click turns any result into a dated PDF, ready for the case file.

Nothing here is a plug-in, and all of it is in the one console.

Privacy mode

NICs, birth dates, phones, emails and addresses are blurred until you click one, then blur again after ten seconds.

Three scripts

Sinhala and Tamil names are romanised into English with their likely spellings, so a fuzzy match doesn't slip past.

Loops flagged

When two companies own each other, or a chain circles back on itself, the tree calls it circular or reciprocal.

Secured under the PDPA

Personal data is held securely, in line with the PDPA and any consent given, and only approved officers can open it.

You were going to do it by hand anyway. So we compared it ourselves.

Ceyntel is not a public search engine and never will be. There is no sign-up page. Every account belongs to a named officer at a law enforcement authority or an approved financial institution, and every search is tied to a case.

How an account is approved

No account exists until all four steps are complete.

  1. Official requestThe institution applies on letterhead, naming its officers and the legal duty they carry.
  2. VerificationDAIT confirms the institution's mandate or licence and each officer's identity and role.
  3. Signed agreementA data processing agreement sets the purpose, the limits and the institution's own PDPA duties.
  4. Named accessEach officer gets a personal login. No shared accounts, and access is reviewed and revoked when roles change.

Built for the Personal Data Protection Act

Act No. 9 of 2022 · Sri Lanka
Lawful basisLawful processing and consent
Personal data is processed only on a lawful basis under the PDPA: a legal obligation or official mandate to prevent, detect or investigate financial crime, money laundering and terrorist financing, or the consent of the person concerned.
One purposePurpose limitation
Every search must carry a case or reference number. Results are for that investigation or compliance check, and nothing else.
Only what's neededData minimisation
NICs, birth dates, phone numbers, emails and addresses stay blurred on screen. Revealing one field takes a deliberate click and re-blurs after ten seconds.
Held securelyStorage and security
Personal data is stored securely and kept only as long as the purpose and the law require. Where processing relies on consent, that consent is recorded and respected.
Locked downIntegrity and confidentiality
Access codes are checked on the server and return a signed session that expires after 12 hours. Data is encrypted in transit, and personal fields stay blurred on printed reports unless the officer chooses otherwise.
Every look is loggedAccountability
Each search, reveal and report is recorded against the officer who made it, with the case reference, so any access can be audited by the institution or by DAIT.
Your rightsData subject rights
If you believe Ceyntel holds data about you, you can ask what is held, ask for an inaccurate record to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased where the law allows. We respond to every request.
